Hells yeah! I love the ending! That was definitely worth the wait, honestly, it was so awesome, and so well written, and tense and...and I'm going insane too! xD Hang on, I will return in about two minutes *rushes off to read chapter again* Okay, okay, back :D Anyway, so, first how he couldn't take his eyes off the body, I take that as in death, Shin suddenly commands all of his attention in a way he never had before. Like, all of sudden, he IS someone now that he's dead. And of course, that's terrible, but in the end, it looks like Shin got he wanted. You know? It's horrible that a person like Shin can only achieve such a thing when he's gone, but to immerse that into this story was genius. I loved it xD And I would completely sympathise with Shin...had he not killed Kali.

So, second, *goes back to chapter again* this bit:

“Shit, you must have been so fucking conflicted,” he whispered. “I was so mad at you for killing James; but I know now it was an accident. I remember you telling me how much you hated yourself when he died. Shin…Why did you do this?”

“Because he was insane,” the man replied “Because he didn’t have any where to escape too and he was very troubled…”

That was great, how Strify is talking to Shin, but it's not Shin that responds, and it's also clearly not what he wants to hear. And of course, Strify thinks it's all his fault, thinks Shin is dead because of him, and I think it's there that you can slowly start to see Strify's mind unravelling. The only thing keeping him going is Kali, but then *BOOM* SHE'S DEAD!!!

"He began to laugh; feeling all the stitches he had made over the years to mask his own demons; feeling them all unravel and bleed on the inside." I think that, in the end, the biggest demon of all is one's own mind. Because ultimately, that's what tears Strify apart. Which is fantastic. Really, truly amazing, because that is precisely the ending I wanted, this sink into insanity (which I agree is a much better interpretation of what happens to him) and that the mind IS fragile, that it can come undone at the slightest moment, and can be destroyed by the simplest of things. This chain reaction, from Shin's death to Kali's, was so perfectly portrayed, and it was truly amazing to see it all come to the end that I was hoping for was incredible.

“No I mean it, well done to him! I’d applaud but everyone seems a little on edge so I wouldn’t want to startle them, but hey, didn’t he look peaceful swinging in the wind like that? It’s a shame he didn’t have like, a ball gown or something to wear, that would have made for a much more striking visual effect, although it might have been a little clichéd, and I kind of think Shin wouldn’t like to seem clichéd, so maybe dying in his bloody clothes was okay with him” That was the best crazy rant ever!! I adored that little speech, and his whole "visual effect" notion was both strangely funny and deeply disturbing. Which is just awesome, cause it means you, once again, did a fantastic job with this story!!

WOW this is a long review...I'm just trying to get everything in xD This bit: "…and like Kali had when she fell from the top of a building four years ago; beginning the start and the end of her life…" I liked, because I think the subtle implication there is that it was in fact STRIFY who wound up destroying her life. Had he not slept with her, left her (even though he didn't have a choice in the matter), and then attempted to reconcile, none of this would ever have happened. So, yeah, I love how you implied that it was, in the end, all Strify's fault that this happened. That was great xD

Okay. I think I'm done now!! So, I don't think I need to say this again, cause I'm sure you already know, but I loved this story, and the ending was just breathtaking. To read it, to see it unravel, was brilliant. It was both fluid and broken, so like that descent into Strify's mind as he gradually collapses in on himself...and then, I love how he ends up like a child at the end, having someone hold his hands and try to bring him back from the darkness...so awesome xD But hey, I was wondering if you would consider perhaps writing a one-shot sequel to this, maybe giving a little detail as to what happens to Strify after all this. It doesn't have to be very long xD And you don't have to write one, lol. It's just that I, personally, would like to see what you would do with this character if you were to continue his story. I know where I would take it, but I'd love to see it from you xD That sounds terrible. That sounds like I'm being all snooty and pompous and stuff. I'm not! I promise xD LOL, I just love to see new stories from you, and I think that this character would be a very interesting one to develop, even if it was only a one shot. What can I say? I like crazy characters xD

Anyway, that's all for now! This was a great ending, and an awesome story, and I look forward to reading the next installment in any and all of your stories! Oh my GOD...great story and the way i see it is that Shin got what he wanted,which was Strify to slip away into madness so he was forever with Shin inside his mind finally being his.

I'm so sad that it's over, but it was breathtaking and so excellant, perfect and spellbinding.
